At night you can hear the devotees chanting but it's not loud (found it soothing), in fact at night there is a lot of activity along the street but it didn't penetrate the walls and I was not bothered at all and managed to sleep. They upgraded our rooms for some reason, and I really liked our room view of the apartments opposite as well as a wonderfully ornate temple (forgot room number but it was 501 or 502). There are many good eateries and convenience stores just outside the hotel. Fortunately there was a porter who helped with the luggage. The hotel is along a narrow street and it rained heavily just as we arrived, and there was no shelter! We got rather wet.
